Manny has a ways to go to trust people. But this painfully shy 2 year old has a brave heart and is learning to go on walks and take treats. Manny’s preference is other dogs, who he gets along with swimmingly. His ideal home would have another dog who could show him the ropes.

? Manny is very shy. But also very passive. Once cornered he will let you leash or
harness him easily.

? The sounds of other people and children scare him.

? He enjoys walks in the woods (Away from strangers) and has an excellent sense
of smell.

? Manny is great with most other dogs. He plays like a puppy. May be OK with
cats?

? A shy dog can learn how to interact with humans by watching other dogs. A
home with another dog would really help Manny.

? He has improved since coming to the Shelter and will greet and take treats
from people he knows. It is rewarding to see the small milestones.

? Needs to be walked with a Martingale style or choke collar- Manny may be
able to slip out of regular collars and harnesses if he is very frightened.
