Meet Mama Prego!

If you are looking for a chill type hound dog who is very intelligent and sweet, Mama Prego is the one for you! Mama P was abandoned at a local dog park approximately five days before giving birth to her eight puppies. She did a great job raising her babies, and now it’s time for her to find her forever home and family. Mama P is good with kids and other dogs introduced properly however she wouldn’t do as well with a dominant housemate since she is on the dominant side. She has shown a desire to chase cats so we think she would do best in a home without them. She is loving and sweet and wants to lay on the couch with you or go for a brisk walk, she’s a very versatile girl ! She is approximately two years old and weighs 40 pounds. She is spayed and up-to-date on all of her vaccines. She is heartworm negative. She is also crate trained and house/leash trained.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
