Meet Makemake!!!


Makemake is a sweet and gentle 2-year-old female dog who is just starting to come out of her shell. She can be a little nervous at first, but with patience and care, she is quickly warming up to people. Makemake enjoys leaning in for pets and is always eager for treats, showing a lot of potential to build a bond with her future family. She seems to already know commands like "sit" and "lay down," which is a great sign of her willingness to learn. Given her shy nature, we recommend that she meet everyone in the household, before adoption to make sure it's a good fit. She’s likely to feel more comfortable around people who are understanding of her gentle approach and can give her space as she adjusts.


When it comes to meeting other dogs, Makemake may need some extra time to feel comfortable. She can be a little unsure at first, but with slow introductions, we believe she could thrive in a home with other dogs. If adopters have other pets, a meeting at the shelter would be the best way to see how she interacts with them in a calm, controlled setting. Makemake is a loving dog who is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can feel safe, loved, and comfortable.
