Maizie Beagle West Decatur, PA

UPDATED 4/30/23 Hi! My name is Maizie! I'm a super sweet small female tricolor beagle! I'm about 1 year old. I spent the first part of my life in a puppy mill. I lived in a crowded cage with other dogs. But I've been living in a home since August! I was extremely timid and anxious when I first went into a home. The person worked very hard with me & I've made a lot of progress. I'm in foster home with another dog, & I really rely on the other dog for guidance & security. So there has to be at least 1 other dog in my forever home. I'm a very cuddly dog! I need to sit on my person or right next to them on the couch. At night, I sleep in bed with my foster parents between their pillows. I've made a lot of progress on housetraining, but I still need some more work. I get extremely anxious if you put me in a crate. My foster family put me in a crate for about 4 hours once; my crate was next to the crate of of the other dog in the house, & I did well. But my forever family needs to figure out how to keep me safe when they can't keep an eye on me (from doing things that young dogs do, like chew on things they shouldn't). My foster family will put me in a 48-inch high X-Pen (it has to have a top, or else I'll climb out)! I do not like car rides. I get very anxious & I will pee. So I need a home where I get to stay home when my people leave, & who can help me with my timidness and housetraining. A home with mature dog-savvy children (at least 10 years of age) would be great if they wanted to help me blossom! I'm also good with cats! I'm already spayed & up-to-date on vaccines.
