Magic is a very sweet boy who loves his person and would thrive with an active family that is prepared to encourage him through his insecurities. He is still learning to feel secure in new situations so he would benefit from a family that knows how to advocate for their dog. This is also a skill that is teachable through our Dog Training With Kasey program. Remember, all our adoptable ogs receive free behavioral support from Kasey, an invaluable resource for adopters!

Although not required, Magic would really love a home with other confident dogs to play with. He's a fairly active pup! Potential adopters should know that Magic can be very vocal when playing. He has ha appropriate interactions with fixed males & females that are the same size as him as well as an intact Great Pyrenees. He has shown appropriate interactions with cats and children 8yo+.

Magic currently knows the cues sit, down, outside, go potty, and is working on others. He tries *very* hard to not potty in the home and rarely has accidents.

On occasion, he gets upset about others near his food dish. This is common from dogs who have lived in survival mode in the past. We recommend feeding him while crated in his new home. He is currently being fed Purina Pro Plan.

So far, Chuck It balls are his favorite toy an flirt poles he could care less about. He is already neutered, microchipped, and up to date is vaccines. All he needs is YOU!Our adoption process is simple, relationship-centered, and provides supportive education. You can expect your adoption interest to go like this:
1. Submit your electronic form
2. An AEL representative will contact you to schedule a phone call or adoption counsel session.
3. Come to your adoption counsel session to meet the pet you're interested in and ready to take them home with you (dependent on the pet, some need more than one meet)
4. If the pet is determined to be a good fit with your family by both you and the AEL representative, you will sign your contract, submit your adoption payment, and take your new friend home!
