Meet Maggie
Maggie is an adorable tri-color 10-pound, 4-month-old Dachshund/Australian Shepherd mix puppy. We expect her to be 15 to 20 pounds when full grown.
Maggie is a Sweet, loving little girl. She will crinkle up her nose and smile at you all the time, and she’s perfectly happy to be held on her back like a baby—so long as you’re telling her what a pretty girl she is. She loves to cuddle next to her fosters, and so much the better if she can snag a tummy rub out of it.
Maggie lives in a foster home with multiple people, dogs and cats, and she gets along well with all of them. She has a favorite doggie playmate; they run zoomies around the back yard and love to wrassle. Her doggie playmate is 3 times her size, but Maggie always prevails. She likes fuzzy crinkly and squeaky toys when she can get hold of them—her doggie playmate is pretty stingy about sharing the toys.
Maggie is working on getting her manners down. A crate is left open for her at night and she always goes in to sleep. Her housetraining is in progress, but not complete. She has not been destructive. She greets new people and dogs happily. There are 8 dogs and 6 cats in her foster home, and she gets along with all of them.
Maggie would do well in an apartment or house. She’s a homebody--she does not like to spend long periods of time outside. She would be good with children.
Maggie’s adoption fee is $275 and includes spay, all puppy shots & microchip. She is heartworm-negative and on heartworm medication.
Note:
We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that seem to be a good fit for the dog.
