Maggie Pit Bull Terrier Mix Joshua Tree, CA

Hi, my name is Maggie. I was taken to another animal shelter when my owner was rushed into the hospital. He was going to come back to get me and the other dog I came with, but unfortunately, his health declined, and he passed away. I loved my owner very much, and it took me quite a bit of time to get used to life without him, but I am finally ready to find a new family. I would love to find someone who will spend lots of time with me and love me for the rest of my life. I am a very loyal dog, and I cannot wait to be in a home again. This shelter isn't a bad place to live, but it isn't a home. I am an emotional girl, and I like being able to go over to my person for reassurance and love when I am feeling down. I love kids, so I would do well in a home with children of any age. I do pretty well with other dogs, but I do not hesitate to stand up for myself, so I would need to be around dogs with personalities similar to mine. As you can see in my pictures, I love to sun bathe in my chair, so it would be great to have someone sitting in the empty chair beside me. I will be introduced and tested with the cats at some point, so if you have cats in the home and are interested in adopting me, please check with the manager to see if I have been tested yet.
