Spirited Madelyn is a 5yo sweetheart who enjoys all things cuddling, affection and toys!

She is a fun, 6-pound lap dog who likes basking in the sunshine and would make a wonderful companion. Madelyn is housetrained, fine in her crate and enjoys short, daily walks to smell the world around her!

And when we say lap dog, we mean it! She loves to be where you are and is the definition of a social, people-oriented pup! She loves spending time w/ humans so much so, that we feel she would do best in a home where she is left along no more than 6-hours at a time.

Another dog, who understands her teeny-tiny size, in the house would be a great thing for her – she has a friendly playstyle and would absolutely love a canine friend she can look to for comfort and confidence! With the resident cat, she essentially ignores him and when he doesn’t want to interact, she skedaddles.

Even though she broke her back leg a while ago, it has mended and received a clean bill of health from the vet. She still favors it and walks on three legs most of the time, but that does not stop her from being the lovely, active girl that she is!

She is a “duck and cover” kind of gal when it comes to too much commotion or a new person in the house; we think younger kids might be too much for her but 8yrs+ would be alright. She will let you know if someone is outside but redirects easily and once she realizes someone is a welcomed guest, she warms right up!

Madelyn is a gentle and sprightly little lady who cannot wait to find her forever home w/ people who will love her and a canine bestie to hang out with!

Her adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.

Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

Madelyn has been available for at least 60 days; we have extended our adoption radius from 75-miles to 100-miles outside Minneapolis, MN City Center or, distance at the foster’s discretion. If you are outside of the 75-mile radius, the guidelines are as follows:

1. Any post-adoption vet care that Pet Haven would cover financially needs to be done with one of our partners in the metro area
2. Any post-adoption continuation of already enrolled behavioral / training that Pet Haven would cover financially needs to be done with one of our partners in the metro area
3. Applicant will need to come to the metro area for a meet and greet with foster parent and dog; if there is another dog(s) in the applicant's home, dog(s) will need to accompany owner to the meet and greet in the metro area
4. Home visit needs to be completed either by video chat or through another rescue in your area
5. Adopter will need to come to the metro area to pick up their new family member if adoption process completed / approved
