Meet MABEL
Meet Mabel, a 1-year-old female dog who weighs 51 pounds. Recently a volunteer took Mabel out on the town and had these things to say...Mabel went to Petco and loved sniffing all the toys and treats and picked one out. Next we went to Del Norte Credit Union, my husband works there so it was set up in advance. She met everyone who was working. Very curious about everything and everybody. Let folks pet her and sniffed them. Next onto DeVargas Mall and walked around twice. Tried to sit but she doesn't like to sit still, so we moved on to the Plaza. Walked around the plaza several times and cathedral park several times. I tried to sit on a bench with her in order to get more face time with folks but she wouldn't sit still and started to bite leash and play tug of war. After that started we left. She never did wear out. One thing I did note was that she is very hesitant about getting into cars. I used the toy we got at Petco to lure her in several times. Mabel does know how to sit, lay down and shake once you get her to focus. She will do alot for treats. Mabels adoption fee has been waived. She is spayed and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing/microchip fee may apply. Santa Fe Animal Shelter is proud to partner with GoodPup!
