Meet Lydia

My name is Lydia, and I'm an affectionate and playful Lab mix looking for my forever family. My foster parents say I'm the sweetest girl they've ever met, and I just love to be loved! What makes me special: * Cuddle bug: I'm a big fan of snuggles and will happily climb into your lap for some quality cuddle time. (Fair warning: I might jump up for pets and attention, but I'm working on it!) * Kid-approved: I get along great with my 7 and 5-year-old human foster siblings. We have so much fun playing together! * Smart cookie: I'm a quick learner and eager to please. My foster parents say I'm very food motivated, which makes training a breeze! * House-trained and crate-trained: No accidents here! I'm already house-trained and comfortable in my crate. Things I'm working on: * Leash manners: I'm still learning how to walk nicely on a leash without pulling. But with a little patience and training, I'll be a pro in no time! * Chewing: I love to chew, especially on my yak chews. Stuffies, on the other hand... well, let's just say they don't last very long. ? What I need in a forever home: * A loving family: I thrive on affection and attention, so a family who loves to cuddle and play would be perfect. * An active lifestyle: I'm a young and energetic girl who loves to go for walks and play fetch. * Continued training: I'm smart and eager to learn, but I need a family who will continue my training and help me become the best dog I can be. If you're looking for a loving, playful, and cuddly companion, I might be the perfect girl for you!

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
