Luna German Shepherd Dog Phoenix, AZ

This is Luna a 5 year old Adult FEMALE light Red Sable German Shepherd dog. She was Rescued from the Maricopa City area along with another female we named her Bella her sister was adopted. We don’t know if they are related but we think they are together. We believe they were turned out. The kind lady that found them tried to take them to Humane Society in Maricopa County but they were full and told the lady to turn them out on the street again in a “safe area”! This is a Desert where is it safe in Arizona? . Well, the lady who did this could not live with that and thankfully reached out to us for help. I’m just still in shock that someone would do this. They deserve a much better life Both girls have been seen by a veterinarian at New River veterinary clinic by Dr Sarah. They’ve had their bloodwork done. They have tested negative for valley fever. They are up-to-date on their vaccines and rabies. They’ve been dewormed and micro chipped. Luna is Heartworm positive but she is being treated currently. She is wicked smart ,sweet ,loving and beautiful. Pictures do not do her justice! I am the Foster mom and Rescuer. I’m going to give you a little description of the good, and the less good lol . I would like to get her re-homed to a forever family. She needs a second chance at life. I have been working with her in training. She is very sweet and loves to give kissy face. She is very smart and learns very quickly. She is a thinker and problem solver. This girl is very mild mannered but a mentally strong female and wants to be with her people. She can be protective when she needs to be. All around good and balanced She is a med strong personality temperament shepherd. Which means he can take charge when she needs to be laid back. means she can take charge when she wants to or she can be laid-back. She is very gentle and loving. She wants to be with her people. She knows basic manners Sit, stay and down. She walks on a leash but can pull a little due to excitement but can control back easily. She is very inquisitive. She’s a very very good girl. She also likes to ride in the car. Does well. She would make the perfect companion dog. Right now we are working on leash walking and she is doing great. She knows how to sit. She will need continued training in basic training. Being a GSD she is highly intelligent and easily trainable. I will encourage you to continue her training. She wants to love and please you. She is learning to play with her toys and enjoys playing with the other dogs here. With proper meet and greet she is fine with other dogs and will give them licky face kisses, she is ok with my Siamese cat and 4 lb chihuahua. She is also good with older dogs around her age or a little older. with cats and good with kids. She has a she’s also from what I observed pretty good with kids that are probably 6 and older. She appears to be an dominant in a motherly corrective way type female. She is very docile and mild mannered lady. She is house broken. She is very loyal to humans. She is being fostered by me and loves and gets along with all my big and little dogs as well as my big Siamese cat . She is good with kids. She follows me around the house and loves being near me. she loves human contact. She is just an all around great GSD. She needs to find a home with a family or to someone with lots of time for training and to give this sweet dog exercise as well as build her confidence. She would make a wonderful addition to any family or person. Overall she is is good with other dogs and kids and warms up easily. She if the typical German shepherd protective of her loving family and welcoming at the same time.

These dogs live to be around 10-14 years old. Are very intelligent and need a lot of stimulation. ("A German Shepherd mind is a terrible thing to waste"). They are a very loyal and loving breed. They make good companions. I, myself have four and love this breed very much. I would be happy to help you with any further information you need to know on this Breed of dog. She is Spayed. Has her rabies shot and all vaccines are up-to-date. She is also micro-chipped, de fleaed and de wormed.
