Lumi Treeing Walker Coonhound South Portland, ME

There is nothing softer than a hound's ear and there is no exception with Lumi, a sweet 6-7 yr old, 60 lb girl. When this girl gets scared, she looks to her people to comfort her. She loves to play with other dogs and has done just fine with the cat in her foster home. She completely ignores the cat. Lumi has been around children as young as 3 and enjoys children. She would be happiest to have another dog in her home to play and pal around with. She really enjoys the company of other dogs as hounds are pack dogs.

She has gone to doggy daycare and has really enjoyed it as she really loves to play with the other dogs. She received excellent report cards that she is friendly with everyone - human and all dogs. They report she is friendly and cuddly! She is quite the gem.

Lumi loves her walks and pays attention to her foster Mom, until she catches the scent of a critter, then her nose takes over. Walks are so enjoyable with Lumi as she is so friendly to everyone she meets. Once she has had some exercise, she may grab a toy and do zoomies in the house for a few minutes then settles well. She loves to take naps! While she prefers to be with her person, she tolerates being crated in a different room. She is quick to do her business when taken out and is house trained. She is very sweet, becoming more enthusiastic with her affection, and really loves just being your pal.

Adoption fees cover age specific vaccinations, martingale collar, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming and transport fees.

Adoption fees:
Through 6 months of age $450;
7 months to through 5 years $400;
6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;
9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption. This dog is in foster care locally, ONLY if Maine or New Hampshire is listed next to the dogs name; otherwise, the dog is still waiting with our partner rescue for an adoption or foster home in New England.

Imported dogs are transported on a USDA approved transport with a Health Certificate. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to getting on transport.ve had annual heartworm tests and are on heartworm preventative.
