Meet Lulu
Lulu is a beautiful one and a half year old poodle with soft, curly fur and an adorable heart shaped marking on her side. She weighed 35 lbs when she was found but has been gaining some much needed weight.
While she is still opening up and getting more comfortable, she is still shy and learning to trust people. She has a gentle soul and a timid heart. She will need a home will to be patient with her as she learns how to be loved and how to trust people. In the time she has been fostered, she has already made big strides. She warms up to new people with lots of love and treats!Â
Lulu is a quick learner and is showing great progress in training with the use of treats and encouragement. She is catching on to potty training (bell training) very quickly. She loves to go on walks and play outside in a tall fenced in area with friends. She has a foster fur-sister who she absolutely loves playing with and has done very well with other dogs she has met. While it isn't required, having another dog in the home to learn from and gain confidence from could be great for her!
Lulu loves to cuddle but also does great in the kennel at night. She is learning what are her toys and learning the word no. She is a spunky fun loving girl and will be a great companion!Â

*** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***
• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
