Meet Luke, a 1-2-year-old, 12lb Jack Russell mix with a big heart and even bigger cuddles to give! This affectionate little guy loves being by his human’s side, whether it’s cuddling on the couch or following you around the house. He’s also a great watchdog who will alert you if someone is at the door. Luke needs a dedicated adopter who will keep him safe, as he is considered a flight risk and requires a secure home environment.

About Luke:
Sweet & Affectionate – Loves snuggling with his human or a small dog companion
Playful – Enjoys small stuffed toys & treats
Great Watchdog – Alerts when someone is outside or knocking
Loves Walks & Car Rides – Walks well on a leash and enjoys exploring
House-Trained – No accidents in his foster home when taken out regularly

The Perfect Home for Luke:
Secure fenced yard REQUIRED – Due to his flight risk, he must be in a home with a well-secured yard
No small children – His high escape risk makes him unsuitable for homes with little ones
Best as the only male dog or with a small female companion – He does not do well with large or male dogs
Someone home often – He thrives in a home where he is not left alone for long periods
Front entrance must be secure – To prevent escape attempts

Medical & Grooming Needs:
Currently undergoing heartworm treatment – Foster must commit to administering his medication
Short, low-maintenance coat – Requires only regular baths, ear cleaning, and nail trims
Minimal shedding

Located in Miami, FL – Adoption limited to Florida residents
