Lucy Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Mooresville, NC

This sweet girl, Lucy, is a Cattle Dog rescued by Piedmont Animal Rescue from Western NC, and her journey is nothing short of inspiring! When she first came into foster care, she was completely shut down and terrified of the world around her. But with love, patience, and the companionship of her foster brothers and sisters, she's blossoming in ways we couldn't have imagined thanks to our partners at Elevation K9 Training.

She's building confidence with every new field trip and exposure to the world.

Lucy has learned heel, and will trust your guidance while she's there.

She will go new places with you and hang out on her place where she feels safe.

This beautiful girl still has some learning and growing to do, but her progress shows she's on the path to becoming a wonderful, loyal companion. Lucy is dog friendly, and would thrive with siblings! She is cat neutral, and has shown indifference to her cat sibling. Lucy LOVES the water, and will swim as long as you let her. She is a great hiking companion, and doesn't mind running short distances with you either. This girl loves to go places. She is nervous in a new environment, but does better with each new exposure to it. She loves to hang out at Coffee republic on place and thoroughly enjoys a good pup cup. She would love to be your best loyal companion!

Lucy's adoption fee includes a MANDATORY series of training to ensure ongoing success for her and her new humans. ($1,000 value)

We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting. Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.

The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.

The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match.
