Meet Lucy
Introducing Lucy!!
This little lady got the short end of the stick when her 'family' abandoned her at a dog park in Houston. If you are thinking to yourself...excuse me?! What did you say?? Yep, it's true it has become a trend here in Texas. People leave their dogs at a park tied up to bake in the Texas sun.
Thankfully good samaritan found Lucy and took her home. When we saw she needed a plan in order to not end up in a high kill shelter we jumped into action and brought her into rescue. Now Lucy is looking for her real forever family!
Lucy is a doll. She is super affectionate and loves to give kisses. She rides in the car like a champ but can always be found poking her head up through the console for a couple smooches. She is still a young gal (estimated to be 1yr old or younger) so has energy to burn. She loves to play with other dogs and with toys.
She is good with all dogs she has met and is even good with cats. While we don't know her breed with think she is a collie/husky mix and she often lets out a little husky yodel that is absolutely adorable. She currently weighs 40lbs but may grow a little more.
She would do great with a family that wants to include her in adventures. Whoever adopts her will be hitting the rescue pup jackpot because she is one of the good ones.
