Meet Lucy
Lucy is a 2-year-old lab mix with a touch of border collie, and she has a personality that's hard to resist. This bundle of energy thrives on having a job to do. Currently, she dedicates herself to protecting the family chickens. Any little noise sends Lucy into action, ready to fend off any potential predators to keep her flock safe.
Lucy has been a little timid around males but is incredibly obedient with females. She adores belly rubs and soaking up attention. Lucy also gets along well with her previous sibling, a golden retriever, cats, and even the neighbor's dog.
Lucy does have some food aggression issues, but these are 100% avoidable. Her current family home has very young children who sometimes forget they can’t have food around Lucy. There has never been a major accident; Lucy will growl and snap without actually biting. This behavior stems from her past in a hoarding situation.
Though she's not a huge fan of leashes and collars, Lucy's eagerness to please suggests she could quickly adapt with some training. Given her current family's situation with three toddlers and a new born, they believe Lucy would thrive in a home with older kids.
If you have the patience, love, and understanding to offer Lucy a loving home and are ready to help her with her food-related anxieties, Lucy could be the loyal and devoted companion you've been looking for. She deserves a chance to be the best version of herself in the right environment.
We believe that with the right family, Lucy's incredible spirit will shine even brighter. Together, we can help Lucy find the loving and patient home she deserves. If you're interested in giving Lucy the forever home she deserves, please contact us now at info@rescuemovement.com or 314-907-2028. If you or someone you know is even remotely considering adoption, we'd love to hear from you.
