From lost to found, this guy has always been LUCKY!
Meet Lucky Boy - a 1-2 year old, Boxer mix, who weighs 62 pounds (as of 11/15/24). This boy was found as a stray by an elderly woman. His name says it all... this guy is one Lucky Boy! We're so happy we found him when we did, and can't wait to help him find his forever family.
His foster shares: " Lucky Boy is incredibly smart and LOVES to play fetch! He would play all day if you let him. He will fetch toys, balls and even frisbees. Lucky Boy keeps us foster entertained with his funny antics- he is young enough to be playful, but old enough to settle down when it’s time to rest. Lucky Boy has learned some basic commands quickly since being in our care. We continue to work with him on his leash etiquette - he just gets VERY excited when he sees his leash! He loves to go on car rides and Lucky Boy makes for the best co-pilot. He would be great addition to any family (with or without children) - as long as he gets attention and has a place to run and play!"
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
To adopt or learn more about Lucky Boy, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **
PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
