Meet Lucky~
Meet Lucky!!This sweet 5 year old, 20 pound guy originally came back to us because the owner had a new girlfriend and she wasn't comfortable around lucky! He got a foster home over the weekend and they have not stopped singing his praises. They have said he is wonderful and phenomenal. He gets along great with their other dogs, cat, kids, everyone. He's a super sweet boy that just wants to please.! He is house trained and will be a blessing to any home!!Lucky has a big heart-he likes to be petted and warms up nicely to people who are good with dogs-but he has obviously had some past trauma that causes him to be cagey and wary of people who do not have a natural affinity for dogs. He is always nice and submissive to his owner, and he has even been fine with small children, other dogs, and most strangers, but, for instance, if he senses a stranger in the house does not have a natural affinity for him or is scared of him, he will in turn become scared himself, growl, and on rare occasions nip at their feet.Aside from these random times when he is scared of certain non-dog-people, he is truly a good-hearted dog who is patient, quiet, submissive, kind, and rarely barks. He likes to be in his crate and sleeps through the night without any complaint. He likes to play with his toys, but amazingly he knows exactly what belongs to him and what belongs to his owner and will be sure to not chew on any of your belongings. He sometimes shakes when he hears a thunderstorm, but then he is always calmed by being near his owner. With the right home and the right owner (in a home with people who have a natural affinity for dogs and love dogs), he can be truly one of the most lovable wonderful dogs.Russellrescuetn@gmail.comHey everyone meet Lucky! He has been with us for a few days and settled in so nicely. He love's attention and cuddles! He will nudge his nose under my arm or hand when I'm not petting him enough lol. He doesn't mind my kids all over him. However, if he has had enough he will hide under me or go to the other room. He is potty trained and does great on leash. He doesn't mind my other small dog or cats. They all have got along great so far. He is a handsome fella just looking for someone to love and spoil himLucky, now Mo, is doing great in his foster home. He is settling in quite nicely and likes playing with his two new friends. He is a little wary of men and big dogs but warms up and likes to hide underneath the bed if there is a storm. He is a great snuggler and quickly caught on that we sleep with dogs in this house. Walks on a leash well and appreciates a long walk! I've been working on some commands- come, sit, stay, crate, etc. He is a very smart boy and has learned quickly. Mo is a cutie and loves attention ! He's got the most unique markings ,those darling ears, and the tail is always wagging!Lucky and Butterball spent their whole lives in an outdoor kennel with very little human interaction. He is just as sweet as he can be and looking for his forever home.Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made. The application is the first step.
