Meet Lucky!

Lucky, a spirited 14-month-old, 7-pound Shih Tzu, joined our rescue after his family had to move without him. Despite his small size, Lucky's zest for life is boundless. He loves playing with toys and dragging his bed all over the house. His energy and enthusiasm make him a great playmate for even the big dogs.

Lucky is incredibly active and enjoys playing soccer in the yard, playing with toys indoors, and lots of cuddling. At night, he sleeps in bed with his foster family, as he doesn't like being crated or left alone. Because of this, we recommend that Lucky's new home has someone available during the day to give him the constant belly rubs he craves. If you stop too soon, he'll give you a gentle nudge to keep going!

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.

All our dogs have been treated with dewormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.

We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
