Louie (Formerly Google) Jack Russell Terrier Mix Newburgh, IN

It has officially surpassed 90 days since Louie, previously known as Google, was returned to our care. He is a 1 year old Lab/Jack Russell Terrier mix, last weighing in close to 50 lbs. He was originally adopted from us as a puppy and spent the first year of his life with that family, until he was unfortunately surrendered when they had to move. He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and heartworm negative!
His previous adopters said he did great with all people and with female dogs. In our experience, Louie is dog selective but does very well when he's found the right match! His original owners say he loves toys, blankets, and playing outside. He's not a fan of being kenneled, instead he loves to hog your bed! He is also housetrained, although he may need a refresher after being in the shelter for so long.
Louie is a sweet dog with plenty of energy. Unfortunately, that energy has no outlet while in a shelter environment and results in him not being able to show off his true, authentic, loving self. It's hard for people to not judge our dogs at face value, but the truth is there is so much more than meets the eye for Sweet Louie! ?
He is extremely intelligent and would thrive with someone who could help him harness his brain! When he's given the opportunity to experience new things, he always does well! He makes a good office dog and settles down with just a little time and a toy to keep him busy.

All of our dogs/puppies have received age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, flea/tick preventon and heartworm prevention. Plus they are spay/neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped prior to adoption.

We REQUIRE an approved application including vet reference for adoption and a home visit in some circumstances. Each dog will be placed in a home that is appropriate for that dog and we reserve the right to deny adoption for any reason.

Note: We can never guarantee if a dog is housebroken, but many of our dogs indicate that they are by keeping a clean kennel overnight. Our knowledgeable staff can help you select a pet that is the best fit for your home and family.
