Hi my name is Louie. I am a Jack Russell terrier mix that is between 1 and 2 yrs of age. I weigh 16.7 lbs and stand 14 inches tall. I am neutered and also UTD on my shots. I was a just a roaming around up in Cowiche Canyon taking in the sites when the now foster parents found me and was concerned for my safety and took me in until I can find my own loving forever home. I like adventures, but I was told I need someone to go with me. Maybe you?

You would like more information? Okay, here goes. I am living with one other dog and I do well. I like to play with him. Nobody knows how I would do with cats. I have been around kids as young as 5 yrs old, but I tend to stay away. I am working on my housebreaking and need work on walking with a leash. Just been a free spirit and need to learn some manners in those depts. My foster parents are working on crate training with me as well. I currently eat Kirland dog food.

Here is a note from my foster mom. Louie is very sweet, a little shy at first but did just fine. . I picked him up several times and took him out of the room without any issues.

He likes to play with toys – his favorite seems to be a rubber chew bone. He loves to run and play in the yard with the other dog in the household.

An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
