Meet Lotus, a charming 4-month-old 20 LB female Boxer mix with a striking short, white and brindle coat. Lotus is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog, ranging between 26-60 pounds. This adorable pup is currently in the process of learning the ropes of house training and has made progress in embracing the outdoors.

Lotus is crate-trained and finds comfort in her crate and attached pen area, where she sleeps peacefully at night and when her humans are away. She is good with other dogs, loving to snuggle and play with her foster brothers. Lotus also gets along well with cats, although her play style might be a bit rough, something she is expected to outgrow with time.

With a sweet and affectionate demeanor, Lotus is great with kids, although her puppy mouthing behavior may not be suitable for very young children. She is in good health, with her spay scheduled for 2/4, and her foster family notes her love for cuddles, periodic play sessions, and her fondness for soft blankets.

Despite her initial hesitancy towards the outdoors, Lotus is adapting well to walks and learning from her foster brother dogs. Her foster family describes her as a playful, slightly clumsy puppy with endearing habits, such as flopping onto her bed in a silly manner. Lotus is not very vocal, only offering a tiny whine occasionally, and she seems to be comfortable being alone for reasonable periods.

Lotus has a moderate energy level, easily satisfied with activities like tug or fetch, and a short jog with her foster brothers. She would do well in a home with shared walls, as she is not a frequent barker. Additionally, whether or not there is a fence, Lotus is adaptable and ready to bring her love and joy to a forever home.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.

Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 90-mile radius of Minneapolis; however, we will consider up to 250 miles if the applicant is willing to drive to cities as needed.
