Lori #4 Yellow Labrador Retriever Mix Killingworth, CT

Lori #4 is 5 months old. She is a very sweet and shy girl. She is learning how to be a family dog and needs some help getting there. Lori's mom was found pregnant in a high kill shelter after being confiscated from a guy who sold dogs to pit bull fighters. September 24, 2024 Update from Lori's Foster Family: "She can be a little skittish/hesitant around new human faces particularly on "Home Turf" but has shown ZERO aggression to anyone! Everyone she meets thinks she's adorable and wants a pet. Other than that we have been trying to coax her into our inground swimming pool but want her to do it on her time. As far as the cats go, we're all still learning to live under one roof as she does still actively look for and chase them but we think we are slowly making progress. She is learning to respond well to correction commands (no, down, "easy" ). She does excellent in her crate overnight or for small cool down periods. She has done superb in the car, we took our first public outing to Petco yesterday. She is doing good on the leash as our neighborhood walks have increased in time and distance. She has had a few # 1 accidents in house (as to be expected) but all BM's have been outside. She has done very well when we have encountered other dogs."

ADOPTION FEES: $495 non-refundable adoption fee for all vet expenses (spay/neuter, shots, etc.) and transportation to ensure your lab gets to you in a safe, professional manner. All fees may be paid using PayPal, cashier's checks, or money orders. Labs4rescue does not accept personal checks for adoption fees. All adopters must pay their Labs4rescue adoption fee prior to the rescue shipping their dog.

Residents of Massachusetts or New Hampshire are required to pay an additional $125 fee, which defrays the cost of their state's mandatory 48 hour isolation and examination by a licensed veterinarian.
