Meet Lola
Well, not really, but I am a true beauty, inside and out!
I will melt your heart with my soulful eyes and silky fur, and I love nothing more than being close to my people. Like many a diva, I can be a bit aloof upon first meeting, but with a little time and space, I warm up pretty quickly - especially if you have another dog swain or two in your household who will teach me your routines. I absolutely adore my foster brother and sister, and being part of the pack boosts my confidence! I enjoy leisurely car rides and rambles with my puppy pals, and I walk well on a leash, unless I see a squirrel! I am a calm, well-mannered girl, and do not react to buses, bikes, or delivery vehicles- unlike my foster brother; he's embarrassing! I am also potty trained and crate trained. In fact, I have been known to put myself to bed early if I've had a busy day!
I had FHO surgery at the end of February, and as part of my rehab, regular walks are very important so that that I can continue to build up my muscle strength. The vet says I'm doing great, but I may need surgery on my other hip at some point in the future. The joint supplements I've started taking are helping though.
I still have lots of puppy energy and would like to find a home with a fun-loving dog to hang out with, but who doesn't play too rough while I'm recovering. Did I mention I love, love, love other dogs?
I also love to chew, but if you provide me with lots of appropriate chew toys like Benebones, I promise I'll leave your shoes alone!
I am proud of my singing skills and occasionally like to practice my chorus lines, so apartment life may not be the best fit for me. Small children make me nervous, so I'd probably do best in a child-free home, or one with older, dog-savvy kids.
I'm now ready to land a permanent role in a furever home; can I be your star? Let's meet and fall in love!
