Meet Loki
Name: Loki
Breed: Plott Hound
Age: 4 years old
Weight: 60 pounds
Personality: Sweet, gentle, playful, and loves to hike and sniff all the great smells on the trails.
Ideal Home: No small critters, but could enjoy the company of another dog or a very dog-savvy cat.
Loki is the sweetest, gentlest dog you'll ever meet! He loves to go for walks, play fetch, play with his toys and ride in the car. He's also a great hiking companion and enjoys exploring all the gorgeous trails we have in our area.
Loki is looking for a loving home where he can be spoiled with attention and belly rubs. He would do best in a home with no cats or small critters, but he could enjoy the company of another dog and possibly live with a dog-savvy cat (he was very good when we tested him with one). He has had several dog playmates during his time at the shelter and has been great with all of them.
If you're looking for a loyal and loving best friend, Loki is the dog for you. He's neutered and up to date on all his vet care. To adopt him, please fill out the application at medfieldshelter.com/adopt.
If a dog is listed on our website, he/she is still available for adoption, but there may be applications ahead of yours. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment. Loki's adoption adoption fee is only $150 because we just want him to find a good home. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you want to be considered for a dog you see in our care.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
