Meet Logan
I've been homeless since April 11, 2019
THE GOOD STUFF:
My best trick is going on sniff-ari! I'm a master at sniff-estigations, too...
Me in three words: lovable, obedient, loyal
How I feel about other critters: I've been in the shelter for so long that I want you all to myself. So let's call other critters a 'no,' mkay?
My absolute favorite thing to do in the world is to go outside and sniff! I just love to follow my nose. Car rides are cool, too, but mostly as long as I'm with you I'm a happy camper.
This is what I dream about when I dream about my perfect person or family: a household that will finally give me my freedom. I'd love a yard where I can sniff and play, and I'd do just dandy in a home with kids over 13. Although I'm a slightly older fella I have tons of love and energy to give - I'm just waiting for my chance and the wait has been too long.
My manners are superb, btw! I graduated from the local rescue dog prison training program. And everyone at the shelter says I'm such a good boy. I've been waiting so long so please don't let me wait any longer!

Logan loves to play all the time either by himself or with you he doesn't care as long as he has something in his mouth. He carries his toys around all the time. He is happy and loves to go on long walks and eat grass and smell all the smells out there.
He would make someone a great dog. He loves to go out and explore the world. The best home for him would be no small dogs or cats and no small kids, and a fenced in yard. He likes some girl dogs. A meet and greet would be necessary for male dogs. This sweet boy is approximately 7 years old and about 50-60 lbs.. He is crate-trained and potty-trained.
He knows basic commands: sit, down, heel, leave it, and place. He does need training with his recall as he gets easily distracted when he's outdoors.

Since April 11, 2019, Logan has been waiting. Waiting for his person. Waiting for freedom. Waiting for someone to look past his coat and his breed, and see the sweet, loyal, funny, and soulful dog that everyone at the shelter knows and loves.
Logan is about 7 years old, 50-60 lbs, and the definition of a good boy. He's crate-trained, potty-trained, knows all his basic commands (sit, down, heel, leave it, place), and graduated from a prison dog-training program with flying colors. He's gentle, playful, and loves to carry toys around in his mouth like treasures. He's a pro at entertaining himself-but he lights up the most when he gets to play with you.
Why has he waited so long? Logan has fallen victim to Black Dog Syndrome and the unfair bias that surrounds Pit Bull-type dogs. And despite his perfect manners, affectionate nature, and adorable love for "sniff-aris" (aka scent walks), he keeps getting overlooked.
Logan is:
Lovable. Obedient. Loyal.
A sniffing machine who adores long walks and grassy adventures.
A happy, eager companion with a huge heart.
Ready for a quiet, stable home where he can finally exhale.
Because he's waited so long, Logan would thrive as the only pet in the home. He might do okay with a calm female dog after a proper intro, but no small animals or young children, please. A fenced yard would be a dream come true for this boy who longs to explore safely and freely.
Despite everything, Logan is still full of hope. He wakes up each day ready to love, ready to play, ready to try again. We all believe-with all our hearts-that someone out there is finally going to see him.
If you're looking for a best friend who will stick by your side, love you unconditionally, and fill your life with joy and goofy grins... Logan is waiting. He always has been.
