Meet Lizzie-l2165

Meet Lizzie! Lizzie is a Texan girl, who was a stray. Her DOB is 11.18.19 and her adoption fee is $350.00.

Everyday is more amazing with Lizzie.

It doesn’t matter what breed she is or what combination. Part corgi, part terrier? It doesn’t matter, she has the best of all of them and makes us smile!

She has a deep bark, whether it is a warning to the Robins, squirrels or bunnies, or a “please give me a hug or a treat” from strangers on the street. You can tell the difference with what her tail does. If it curls and wags, she wants a hug. If it is straight, watch out predator.

Yesterday, on our long walk, she saw a young couple at their house. She barked and dragged me to the man. He sat on the ground and she immediately hopped into his lap and cuddled….he was a complete stranger!

Watch her obedience video. She is better than most dogs with over 2 years of experience with obedience training. Lizzie has only had approximate of 15 weeks.

With only several weeks of agility, she is a natural and shows no fear. Her jumping is like a deer, very elegant but very powerful and quick.

She is showing that she could be a very quick study in Search and Rescue. She works every other day in searching for different articles in the house. Whether on the floor behind things or up above her, she will search for them. She loves the game.

She would be exceptional doing FAST Cat. She is very fast. She would also be great at Barn hunt

She lives with 2 Pembroke Welsh Corgis. She loves to play, chase, be chased, shows no food or toy aggression. She loves her kennel, she will go there on her own for sleep time.

Over the last few months she is showing less reactivity to other dogs on her walks. She will be reactive when the other dog is also reactive. But, if the person handling her is aware of these triggers, they can be reduced.

She is protective of her yard when a dog, animal or human comes down Her driveway, Her bark is a warning. Since she is so athletic she will need a tall fence, not a corgi fence!

In the house, she is the opposite and enjoys people coming in.

Would not recommend a house with a cat or other animals that can resemble a bunny or squirrel. We have not tried this, however.

She needs a family or partner that will give her the love and hugs she deserves. But also one that can keep her active with direction.

Lizzie will require a home that has a fenced in yard as she is very athletic and agile. She is not a dog that can live in an apartment building.

Lizzie is one special girl!

We do not allow our dogs to be tied/tethered/chained or be restrained on any kind of tied out. If no fence yard, then you must be an experienced German Shepherd person who can not only exercise not only her body but her mind too. We do not allow our German Shepherds in a yard that has an electronic underground fence system.

If you are serious about adopting this girl then go to the website and complete and application. www.faerielandrescue.org
