Information from foster: I found them on a road that’s known for people dumping unwanted dogs. They stayed in the same place for days. I figured if they were lost they’d at least be moving. I posted everywhere I could, knocked on doors, etc., but nobody knew them.
A lot is unknown about Buddy and Little Red. I’ve had to keep them outside in my dog run that has a partial indoor area the past few months while fostering them. I don’t think they’ve ever lived in a house. Buddy pulls back on the leash when trying to go through the doorway and was nervous at first. I brought them both inside to check out my cats, Buddy didn’t even care and little red just wanted to sniff them - no sign of aggression.
Both boys are the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met. Little red was shy and scared at first for a couple weeks, but now he is so happy to see me when I get home. Little red loves to be petted and loves to give hugs. Buddy has a little whine he does until you let him snuggle up on you and he just melts right into you with happiness.
The time I’ve spent with them in a car, Little red usually ends up trying to lay on my lap and gives kisses. Buddy usually will whine a little until he calms down with you petting him.
They both crave attention and are very very loving boys. Someone is going to be very lucky to have these two boys. I already have 3 dogs otherwise these two would have been adopted by me. A fenced in yard would be best for them, they love to run around and play together at the dog park. Little red loves watching squirrels! They are very much bonded, if I take one dog away from the other the one left will whine and bark until the other is back.
I took little red in a car ride for about 45 minutes and my wife said buddy howled and cried the entire time we were gone.
I’ve introduced about 8 different dogs to these two and they haven’t showed any aggressive behavior at all.
All they need is a yard to run around in and a family prepared to receive a ton of love ?
