Lisaki is PENDING adoption! Jack Russell Terrier Mix Bar Harbor, ME

Lisaki is a delightful 17lb small mixed-breed pup who hails from Greece. Her Greek rescue called her part Kokoni (the Greek word for a small mixed breed dog) and part Jack Russell Terrier.

Lisaki is under a year old (born March, 2024), and still has plenty of fun and hilarious puppy energy, but also can be calm and snuggly. She enjoys other dogs, as long as she doesn't feel nervous or become overwhelmed. She would be happy living with a neutral, and tolerant-of-puppy antics dog, or dogs. Lisaki is being fostered with cats as well as dogs. She does chase for fun, so dog-savvy cats should be okay with her.

In Greece, Lisaki lived in a foster home with kids aged 7 and 11 and loved them! She might be a little rambunctious for toddlers, since she is still working on not jumping (bouncing!). She is super smart and likes to learn, she will thrive with continued positive reinforcement training. She is very easy to work with as she happily accepts her rewards in the form of treats, toys or affection.

Lisaki’s ideal home would have plenty of activity, and she would especially like a family who is at home a lot, or includes her on outings - she rides well in a car. She is fine being crated for a couple/few hours with a kong or chew toy, but she really likes to be with her people and would prefer not to be alone regularly for an 8 hour workday.

Lisaki looks forward to a daily walk and does well on leash with a harness. She also loves playtime and toys. She know the cues “drop” and “sit” very well, and picked up on “wait” and “look” for her dinner in two days flat. Again, she is very smart and eager to please her humans.

This little girl would make a great addition to an active person/family. Her foster tells us that Lisaki is a lot of fun and is "absolutely irresistible".


Adoption fees cover age specific vaccinations, martingale and collar, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming etc.

Adoption fees:
Through 6 months of age $450;
7 months to through 5 years $400;
6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;
9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300

PLEASE NOTE - We will check your veterinary reference, to ensure that current and prior dogs have a history of being kept up to date on rabies and distemper, have had annual heartworm tests, and are on heartworm preventative at least 6 months of the year. Current pets must by spayed/neutered.
