Meet Lilly
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION.
1. Because of her small size, children should be 8 or older.
2-year-old female Chihuahua, about 4 pounds. Meet Lilly, aka Miss Lilly. Lilly is a bit shy on first meeting, but she quickly warms up to people and other dogs. We have been fostering Lilly for about three weeks, and she has adapted well to her surroundings. Lilly loves nothing more than to sit on the couch and cuddle with humans or other dogs. She is sometimes slow to go outside, but once outdoors she explores the yard and hangs with the other dogs. Lilly has no concept of personal space and will sit as close to or on top of you if you let her. Lilly spends most of her day free to explore the house but often will be found on one of the dog beds or sharing a crate with another one of our fosters. Lilly is crated at night and in the car and does very well. While Lilly likes to be engaged with whatever is going on, she is quite content to be on her own. To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com
Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. For a list of scheduled events go to: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/events . Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Additional pictures of adoptable dogs can be seen at: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/photos_stream?tab=photos_albums. All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check. Email Jamie at smidgetrescue@hotmail.com or click on the CONTACT link on this page. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BEFORE SENDING. 8632781We get a fair number of incorrect emails and Jamie is not able to contact potential adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
