Meet L’il Skunk
L’il Skunk’s mother was brought to a kill shelter. When she arrived, they realized she was pregnant. Two days after arriving in her foster home, she gave birth to 6 puppies. When he was 5 weeks old, Lil Skunk’s foster mom found him one morning unable to walk. He was rushed to the vet and it was discovered he had a broken spine. On reviewing the cameras, one of his siblings pounced on him, which could be what caused the break. It’s suspected that his spine had congenital deformities. He’s currently in a body cast until he grows and can get surgery.
