Hi! I’m L'il Milo!

Do you like to smile? I like to smile! No, wait. I LOVE to smile! Like, loooooove to smile. I love it so much I do it ALL the time. Foster Mom calls me the happiest boy she’s ever seen and thinks I must know the secret to life. Just call my name, ask me anything and the sides of my mouth turn up, my tongue hangs out and I am grinning ear to ear!

“Milo! Wanna go potty?” Woo Hoo! Let’s do it!!
“Milo! “Wanna go for a ride?” YES! You read my mind!
“Milo! Want a treat?” Amazing! Best news ever!

But I’m getting ahead of myself…

I’m an 11-year-old male papillon weighing 15 lbs. and losing. Weight that is. I’ve been walking off the ole L. B.’s if ya know what I mean. So far, I’m down TWO pounds in just a few weeks.

Do you like walks? I like walks. No, wait. I looooove walks. I’m great on a leash too! I probably didn’t get walks where I came from so when my paws hit the grass and we start movin’ so does my wittle booty. I just wiggle in excitement. In fact, I’m quite the “dancer” these days, too. Now that I’ve become more active, Gene Kelly’s got nothing on me. When I get excited, I get the wiggles. I’ve been known to hop off the ground and wiggle in the air like a fish outta water. It makes Foster Mom laugh and laugh and laugh.

I’m getting to be quite the dapper dude being a bit more active but I’m more than happy being a lazy bum. I’m about as low maintenance as they come. For some reason, I’m not comfortable being up on the couch. I’m more comfortable laying on the floor at your feet. Same for bedtime. I’m happiest in a dog bed, on a blanket or laying on the floor in your room. No need to save me a spot by your pillow.

However, for not being a “lap dog” I looooove to be rubbed, loved on, hugged, get butt scratches… did I mention butt scratches… love me some booty scratches… and I will be your loyal shadow all day long and not leave your side. In fact, I prefer to not leave your side. Please don’t leave my sight! I love being able to watch Foster Mom work at her desk all day. Having someone home with me would be pretty great especially because I only have one nemesis in life. Crates. Urgh. Crates.

I’m mostly potty trained but have been through a lot so could use some refreshing, so when foster Mom tried to pull this whole crate thing on me, my smile turned upside down. No thank you ma’am. But if I gotta… well, I think I could learn.

I also get along with the dogs and cats that I've had the privilege to sniff but if they are off in a distance, I have stuff to say about that. Rooowwrooooo! Kids? I haven't met any yet but I heard that especially when they are old enough to not be rowdy, they are really nice to be around and can give good hugs. Is that true? I'd really love one of those hugs!

Lastly, I do take medicine for my thyroid and high blood pressure but who doesn’t these days, am I right?! And it's just $15 a month. Hide those in food or a pill pocket and I take them like a champ! Why? Because I do everything with a smile!

I have no doubt my furever person or family is out there and my best years are ahead of me. I have so much lovin’ to give and lots of smiles to share. I hope to meet you soon!
