Meet Lickity Split! This little couch potato came from our rural shelter partner after being brought in as his owner could no longer care for him. Sadly, the owner was suffering from dementia and due to this Lickity Split and his pals all lacked basic veterinary care. Because of this, Lickity became infested with fleas and lost 90% of the hair along his back. Thankfully, the vet saw him and got him started on some prevention and medication to help soothe his skin and itching. Now that the fleas are gone he is finishing up some antibiotics in the hope that his coat grows back long and luxurious! Lickity was shaking and absolutely terrified at the shelter. He refused to move and everyone was concerned for his quality of life. It took all of about 1 day for this boy to realize he would never go back there again and his personality came out full force! He is a LOVER man and a big one at that. Lickity LOVES people. He will beg to be held and give you kisses. He is quiet but follows you around like a shadow, which is kind of a good thing because this boy needs a workout plan. He is a bit of a chonk and has back rolls for dayssss. None the less it just makes hims extra perfect. Lickity is guessed to be around 4-5 years old and is so ready for his new lease on life. He loves to cuddle under blankets and honestly unless you pull him out of bed, he will stay there all day. Lickity is currently about 13 pounds and fully vetted, neutered and microchipped. He does GREAT with other animals, dogs and cats. He is in foster with both, including a big dane! He loves his furry friends. Lickity is so ready to be spoiled for the rest of his life.
