Meet Libby!
Acworth, NH
Libby is an estimated four year old female Australian Cattle Dog who is looking for someone to devote her life to. This girl is simply bursting with love and affection and deserves a person to call her own. Libby has a seemingly unlimited amount of energy and would be a perfect partner for a hiker, runner, mountain biker or any outdoor enthusiast. She also loves the water. Libby would be a great candidate for dog sports as well! During her time in foster care, Libby had a litter of puppies; now that they are weaning she has begun to work on herself. She has excellent recall and is making progress with leash walking. Libby needs help managing her prey drive and tends to chase squirrels and cars while walking on the road. Fortunately, she is so eager to please that we are hopeful she can overcome these obstacles with training. Libby is a super-snuggler and melts into any person she meets. Dog introductions have gone well when done slowly and conservatively; Libby has shown some conflict with more dominant dog personalities but this has also softened with time and weaning of the puppies. Libby is overstimulated by the farm animals at her foster home and would probably not be the best choice for farm or barn life. She does currently cohabitate well with two dog-savvy cats.
Libby is up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. She will be adopted with a spay contract and professional training (or a training experienced home) is strongly recommended to help her fine tune her manners. Libby is house trained and has crate experience.
