Meet Lewis
BEING FOSTERED IN CT
Lewis is a sweet little guy who was taken to a shelter when he was found stray. When nobody came looking for him, one of our terrific foster families took Lewis in and is helping him get ready for his new life with a forever family. Lewis is about one year old and weighs 12 pounds. Lewis has a playful personality, but he also really loves being a lapdog too!
Lewis’s foster mom says “he was actually really scared at first, but now he loves the other dogs and is quite outgoing. He’s adaptable and is starting to learn that walks are fun. He's smart too - when he knows it's time to get in the crate at bedtime he disappears lol. We don’t have cats, but he’s so small that I think he would be fine living with a cat.”
Lewis was diagnosed with patellar luxation in his left leg, so he will sometimes hold it up, but it doesn’t seem to cause him any discomfort or keep him from participating in playtime activities. A steady exercise routine should help him get stronger and hopefully use the leg more. We don’t think he was ever taken on walks or had much exercise in his previous life, so Lewis is looking for a family to help him ease into a steady exercise routine.
Lewis is crate trained and housebroken. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventives.
If you would like to offer this great little guy, a forever home, please email bigyellowdog.wendy@gmail.com for an application.
