Meet Levi! This handsome little low-rider is available for adoption. His coat is a beautiful reddish blonde and has gorgeous green eyes. He doesn't shed much. His behind is floofy like a corgi.
He is being fostered with a 5yo lab and they mostly ignore each other. Also, there's a hyper submissive puppy in the foster home. Levi loves playing with the puppy. Sometimes he growls and scares the puppy but he doesn't act aggressive so it may just be attention seeking. While he does do well with other dogs he seems to seek and prefer humans attention. At 33 pounds, he's nearly full grown. There are no kids in the foster home but everything indicates he would be ok, and not too big that he would knock them over.
He is working on basic obedience and behavior training. He responds well to verbal cues like no. Or, really anything said with a low tone works to stop behavior like taking the remote in his mouth. Potential adopters should be mindful that they should monitor a new dog at all times to address behaviors right away and reinforce preferred behavior. Levi is crated at night, and while he cannot be supervised. He generally does well. Sometimes he cries/barks for about 15 minutes, probably because he's not used to being alone and it's strange. Overall, he's been an excellent house guest, and we think he would do well in a variety of homes.
