Meet Leroy! Leroy is a sweet and playful 3-year-old male dog who loves making new friends, whether they're cats, other dogs, or children. He's a gentle soul who also gets along wonderfully with the elderly. Leroy enjoys car rides, making him the perfect road trip companion, and he's always well-behaved on a leash, making walks a breeze. Our staff here at MOAS thinks there is a high chance of him being housetrained as well !! Although Leroy is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, he remains upbeat, friendly, and ready to spread joy to everyone he meets. Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.

Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet.
Fees:
Dogs over 6 months old: $100
Puppies under 6 months: $200.
Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip).

NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption.
If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
