Meet Leo, a charming 5 or 6 year old Chihuahua weighing in at 13.7 pounds. Rescued from a rural county shelter along with 7 companions, Leo is a delightful canine looking for a loving forever home.

Personality Traits: Leo is an incredibly sweet, smart, and playful dog. He has a friendly disposition, always eager to interact with other dogs and humans. Leo is known to beg for attention, making him an affectionate and loving companion.

Compatibility: Leo gets along well with other nice dogs of any size, showcasing his friendly and sociable nature. His ideal home would feature a secure fence, as Leo tends to be adventurous and curious. If possible, Leo would love to be adopted alongside his partner, Annie. They share a special bond, enjoying cuddling and even preening each other.

Health and Well-being: Leo is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and will be undergoing a dental procedure soon. While Leo has a mid-grade heart murmur, it doesn't hinder his daily activities, and he exhibits no symptoms and does not need medication. The vet recommends regular yearly checkups to monitor his health.

Ideal Home: Leo is looking for a home that can provide love, attention, and a secure environment. A family with another nice dog or the possibility of adopting him alongside Annie would be ideal.

Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.

3. The application will open as a PDF and you should have the ability to fill it in from that page. Be sure to complete all fields.
4. Save the application to your computer, then attach in an email and send to petprojectnc@gmail.com
5. Someone will review your application as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours, and will be in touch with next steps.
