Lenny Pit Bull Terrier Bothell, WA

Animal Profile: Lenny is an estimated 10 month old 51 lb neutered male blue pitty who was a stray intake to the overcrowded rural Caddo Parish shelter in Shreveport Louisiana, but he does know "sit" so may have had a family. He is very puppy, very submissive and playul. He flops when meeting other dogs and is just a happy boy. He arrived with a case of kennel cough which he is now fully recovered from and his spunky side is showing more everyday. We will share more info as we get to know him in foster care.

Foster Update: Lenny, Leonard, Leonardothis guy is something special! Lenny is a kind soul who is curious and eager to please. He hasn't had any potty accidents since arriving in Seattle and is very content and quiet in his crate. Lenny loves to play, whether it be with his foster brother Big Mac, his people, or by himself with his plethora of toys. He is very smart and loves to work on training; he will do anything for a treat! He is still very puppyish and can become destructive (digging, chewing) without mental stimulation / supervision. However, he also loooves a good cuddle puddle with his humans and doggy siblings once his brain is tired out. When meeting new people, Lenny wiggles right up to their feet with a smile on his face and flops to the ground for pets. He is still learning what is and is not appropriate to put in his mouth (he can be quite mouthy when overstimulated), but this has been improving since he had a pesky extra tooth removed. He also can be a little insecure in busy environments outside of the home, so would appreciate someone who can help him continue to build confidence and become the wonderful breed ambassador he is destined to be. Leonard can't wait to meet his forever family and make a lifelong, loyal companion!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.

Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Caddo Parish Animal Shelter in Shreveport Louisiana and arriving to Seattle via Tail Lights Rescue Project on 3/23/25. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
