Leia and Ein Pembroke Welsh Corgi Amarillo, TX

Tpp of Texas Corgi Rescue has been asked to help find a new home for Leia and Ein. This military family may be deployed at any time plus the dogs just aren’t comfortable with a toddler. While it’s a hard decision for the family, we think it’s in the best interest of the dogs. The dogs are located near Fort Sill, OK.

The family would like the dogs to stay together if possible. The best chance to keep them together is a home where there are no other dogs since Ein has been very questionable about whether he will get along with others or not. Additionally, both dogs are nervous around small children so we’ll only consider homes with older children.

“Hi, my name is Ein I have a big heart and I love to give kisses. I am a 4 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I am about 25 pounds. I have no medical issues. I am unsure about other dogs. It’s been an iffy situation with other dogs and it all depends sometimes I like other dogs and other times I don’t. I have never been around cats. I was born in Florida and my mommy and daddy adopted me at 12 weeks. When I was about 3 my daddy joined the army. This is how we ended up in Fort Sill Oklahoma. Since moving to Fort Sill I have been struggling with the move and new environment. At any point my mommy and daddy could be sent overseas and my space is limited due to our small housing on base and all I wanna do is run around play. I would love a family that could give me the time and space I need as I do like a lot of attention and unfortunately my mommy and daddy can’t give me that. I am fully house and crate trained. I love car rides. I learn commands very easily I know how to sit, stay, lay down, spot (which is when I stay on my bed when my family is eating) and “free”. I can walk on a leash but I do pull. I love attention. I love getting pets and scratches but please don’t scratch near my booty I don’t like that very much. I loveeee to give lots of kisses and if I lay with you on the couch I will cuddle you. I will chew on bones but anything soft I will rip apart. I boof at random things and can be vocal. I do enjoy my space such as my bed please don’t step on it or I might give you a growl to remind you that this is my space.”

“Hi, my name is Leia. I am a three years old and about 20 pounds. My brother is Ein we are not from the same litter. I was born in Georgia where my mom and dad traveled to get me and bring me back to Florida. When I was about 1.5 years old my daddy joined the army. This is how we ended up in Fort Sill Oklahoma. Since moving to Fort Sill I have been struggling with the move. I am not used to having such a small space and I have since grown to be very shy and very nervous with fast movements. But don’t let that scare you away because once I get used to you I am the biggest lover there is. All I want is lots of cuddles on the couch or I even love to cuddle and sleep in the bed with you if you enjoy dog cuddles in the night. If something drops on the floor that isn’t mine I will take it sometimes and there is a possibility I will chew it. I love to lay at your feet more then I like playing with other dogs. But don’t get me wrong I will chase and play when I feel a burst of energy. I am fully housebroken and crate trained. I can sit, I can stay, I know free and I’m working on spot. I can walk on a leash. I do pull though. I enjoy car rides but can get nervous. I have no medical issues. I am looking for someone who can provide a stable home with more room for me and that can give me lots of attention, love and cuddles.”
