Larry Treeing Walker Coonhound & Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix Acushnet, MA

Sweet Larry is a 6/7 year old hound mix. Larry’s owner passed suddenly and he is in desperate need of a foster or adopter. He will come with training sessions for the adopter to continue, a crate, toys, a bed, and anything anyone could need to get off on the right foot!

Larry has been living at a kennel while we look for a foster or forever home. He has been really sweet with all of the employees and seems pretty unphased by the dogs and horses on the property.

Larry walks well in a loose leash fashion while out and about. We believe he is a dog who needs some confidence building and an owner who knows how to make their dog feel safe without coddling them. Larry does not want to be coddled, he wants to feel secure.

While we were told Larry does not like other dogs, during his stay at the kennel and training he has not been reactive. What we see is a dog who is interested in other dogs but could be pushy and rude at first. If someone is confident in their ability to have multiple dogs in a structured environment we’d be willing to have that as an option for an adopter on a case by case basis.
