Meet Lansing **Meet me at the Lakeville Petsmart on Saturday from 11-2pm**

If you are interested in any of the dogs available at New Leash Rescue, you can reach out to the foster listed below for more information and then complete an adoption application which can be found at https://www.newleashrescue.org/adopt/policy. Please email the completed application to newleashrescue2018@gmail.com

Lansing is around a year old and about 13 lbs. He came from Mexico and wasn’t the biggest fan of the cold but really enjoyed climbing the snow banks! He is very high energy and is actively playing around 6-8 hours each day. He loves fetch and will bring toys to you all day long asking to play. He has mastered “leave it” which works in place of “drop”. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes and actually thinks he’s one of the big dogs. He’s been working on potty training and has been doing fantastic! Lansing sleeps in a crate overnight and rarely makes a peep. He is kennel trained but has graduated to free roam when left alone during the day. He can be resource protective around new dogs and is trained to eat in his kennel for this reason. Lansing’s ideal adopter would be someone active who enjoys spending time outside, loves a good game of fetch, will give endless pets and doesn’t mind being covered in dog kisses. Lansing has not been cat tested.

Adoption fee is $450.00 + tax (no checks)

Email adopt@newleashrescue.org with questions.

Please inquire whether Lansing will be attending an upcoming adoption event at the Lakeville Petsmart on Saturdays from 11-2pm.

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
