Meet Lainey
Lainey is a very sweet, lovable girl who is quick to follow commands - even in the middle of zoomies! She has shown curiosity about the neighbor's dogs but has never shown any signs of aggression. She also didn't react to the neighbor's cat sitting on the railing of the deck - she looked at it with curiosity (leashed) but kept walking to the deck gate to go into the yard. She watches the squirrels but doesn't bark or try to chase them. She also stayed with another dog while being transported to the vet and got along great with the other dog at the home.
I don't have children so I don't have a way to evaluate with kids but I would suggest that with her size and being strong that she could easily knock over little ones unintentionally. She's always excited when someone comes to the door but doesn't bark. She's told to sit and stay and tries SO hard to stay but loves to greet people with lots of tail wagging and smiles. Even when she's really excited, she'll sit immediately when told to sit (wiggle butt the whole time. LOL!) In general, a very happy, lovable girl. She knows sit, stay, down, and even "Move" when told to move over. She responds quickly when called or told No. She doesn't seem to have a clue what Fetch is but does like tug of war. If the toy is thrown, she'll run to it, and immediately lay down to chew on it rather than bring it back. Zoomies are pretty typical of pitties and she carefully navigates any furniture - and stops when told to sit. Her favorite treat is green beans and she really likes her Kong toy with peanut butter inserted in it. She's just a great dog.
She is crate-trained and easily goes in when directed to the crate. She is housebroken and lets me know when she wants to go out. She settles easily into a routine to the point that she lets me know it's dinner time with a few nudges - right on time. Amazing. I would suggest that a fenced yard allowing for running room, people who enjoy having fun with their dog and giving belly rubs, and who appreciate a well-trained girl would be best. I haven't seen any inclination toward any type of destructive or aggressive behavior at all. I think Lainey would like having a dog friend, too.
