Meet Lady

Lady came into our care in a disastrous state. This poor girl had needed medical attention for quite some time, but had not received it. Lady’s allergies had not been addressed, she was not sterilized, she had various tumors, and both of her eyes had entropions that were causing her a lot of discomfort. After a few months of TLC, and a few surgeries, Lady has found comfort and joy, and is finally ready to move on to her forever retirement home!

Lady is a true gem of a dog. She loves people, and wants nothing more than to hang out with them. Whether it be just you and her, or a backyard barbeque with all your friends and family, Lady wants to be there to hang out too. She is calm and quiet in the home, and doesn’t ask for much. She can stay home alone all day, out of her crate, and not have any accidents or cause any damage (although she would much prefer it if you were home to hang out with her!). She loves affection, and loooves food. She is great at completing puzzles and toys in order to get her kibble!

While Lady is pretty perfect at home, she can react loudly during walks if she sees a cyclist or another dog. She will bark and tug to go towards them, but is pretty easily handled with her regular leash. Her ideal home would be one in a calmer environment, with at least a small yard for her to play in.

Lady’s allergies can be severe if her family is not attentive with her care. With a proper hypoallergenic diet and attention to her symptoms, they are able to be managed. She requires medications and other treatments to keep her symptoms managed.

WORDS FROM HER FOSTER:

She is a loving, affectionate, obedient and easy dog to take care of. She loves people and is protective of the people she loves. She deserves to have the best end of life possible. She is easy to love, easy to care for and anyone would be the luckiest person to have her. She does not shed and is completely potty trained.
