Age or DOB: 3-4 years young

Activity Level: Medium, but I'm a smart boy, so I need structure and things to keep me busy.

Things I do in my free time: I was in a train and board program, but I've been in my foster home for 5 days now. I'm a shy guy around humans, so right now I'm following my foster mom around a lot, and just checking her out. I've just started snuggling with her and asking for pets, and I've started playing with the dog toys.

Things I know: I know sit, lay down, watch me, leave it and shake. I also know how to stay, and I walk really politely on a leash. Oh, and my half floppy ears bounce when I walk, and my foster mom says it's the cutest thing she's ever seen. Of course, I'm a rockstar at being in my crate and being house broken.

Things I am learning: I'm learning how to trust people. I am shy, so I would do best with a human that has experience with shy/fearful dogs. My foster mom is letting me take things slow, and I've started asking her for snuggles and pets. I am super food motivated, so that helps with all my training, too.

Kids: I am a sizeable boy, so at minimum we would only recommend homes with prior experience introducing dogs and kids and managing both responsibly. Because I am a little shy, I'd probably prefer homes without very young kids.

Dogs: I have been told that I can be very exuberant at times, though not 24/7. I go from playing briefly to being perfectly happy just existing around other dogs. A good match for me would be another submissive dog who loves to romp around and play but then just hang out in the yard with one another.

I am currently living with two dogs and two cats, but I haven't fully met them yet because my foster mom is taking the introduction process very slowly. I have seen all the cats and dogs from my crate, and I haven't reacted at all. In fact, the two dogs have given me some kisses through the crate, and I was a fan of that interaction. I will be meeting the two dogs slowly and in a structured manner so my foster mom can make sure I feel comfortable and have a successful integration.

Additional Info from rescue: Kramer was in a board and train program for several weeks. Our ideal home for him is someone who is experienced at setting up good structure and leadership and who is calm and clear in their communication to their dog/dogs. We know he will make someone a fantastic companion, as always, just looking for that right match. Kramer's adopter will receive guidance from MPBR as well as Kramer's previous dog trainer to make sure you are set up for a successful life together.
