Koda Australian Shepherd Manhattan, KS

Unfortunately, I am looking to rehome my Australian Shepherd, Koda. He is 7years old and has been with me since he was 6months old. We moved to Kansas from Hawaii back in 2020. He is very energetic but also likes to lounge around the house. He loves to explore on hikes and play in the water. I am rehoming him because we have small children in the house and he does what aussies do and he has a herding instinct. I’ve tried training both him and the kids but it just hasn’t been working out as I hoped. We have put at least two years into the training so far but it hasn’t worked for both Koda and the kids. I just want to find him a good home where he can be happy and fun loving without stressing over loud rambunctious kids running around.

Koda loves to play. He loves being out on walks and loves jumping in the water. He is friendly with other dogs but can be a little hyper when first meeting them. When it comes to meeting new people he can be a little apprehensive at first but opens up with some tummy rubs and butt scratches. He is an absolutely wonderful dog. I have taken him to the mutt school for daycare and a little bit of training.

Koda is about 55lbs and is a fully Australian Shepherd. I believe he is a working breed. He does not have any health issues. He currently eats pedegree dog food but he will eat just about anything. His tummy does get a little upset with super high protein food like Orijen Red.
