Meet Kiwi, a resilient and playful pup looking for her forever home! Rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico as an 8-week-old puppy, Kiwi has blossomed into a fun-loving, energetic girl who bounces like a little kangaroo when she plays. She absolutely adores other dogs and, while she may be a bit nervous at first, once she realizes she's safe, it's game on! Playtime is her favorite, and she would thrive in a home with another friendly pup to romp around with. Kiwi is still adjusting from her rough start in life, so she eats in her crate, as she sometimes seems to think that she is still fending for herself on the streets. She may "nervous" pee at first, but once she settles in, she does great--using the bathroom outside about 90% of the time and pee pads the other 10%. This sweet girl has a heart full of love, especially for children. Her thick, soft fur gives her a striking appearance, somewhat resembling a Dutch Shepherd, though her true mix is a mystery. Expected to reach about 40 pounds when fully grown, Kiwi is the perfect medium-sized companion. While her experience with cats is unknown, she is not prey-driven, so she may do well with slow introductions. Kiwi is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to gain confidence and share her playful, affectionate nature.
