Say hello to Kivi – a 7 yo sweetheart looking for her forever home!

She is looking for a forever family/individual who is experienced with and has a soft spot for a nervous darling girl like her. Because of her nervousness, she thrives with a familiar routine and comfy, cozy places to curl up. She appreciates some time and space to get to know her people; treats always help!

Because she is a quite a timid girl, if there are any children in her forever home, they should be 12 -plus. Miss Kivi would also love to be the only dog in the house, but if there is another submissive, respectful dog, she would be fine with that too!

This 65-pound playful sweetie loves going for daily walks, being able to sniff and explore everything along the way! And, if it squeaks and if it is soft, she loves it! When she drops a toy at your feet, sweetly inviting you to play, your heart will glow.

Her favorite thing to do by far at home is snuggle up on the couch, burrow under soft blankets, and relax. Everyone needs a little quiet time on their own to curl up and take a nap. She loves her kennel because it is where she eats peacefully and has a stockpile of soft, cozy blankets!

She also enjoys car rides; Kivi will lean her head on your shoulder to watch the speeding landscape go by. And when she runs or chases toys, she is a graceful, beauty in motion! Because of her long, athletic legs, she always needs to be leashed so that your last view of her isn’t her tail as she heads over the horizon looking for delicious new smells.

Kivi is currently on anxiety meds to help her see the world as a kinder place. She is looking for a life of routine, consistency, and quiet where she is a beloved companion. She has a desire to please and sometimes worries that she doesn’t understand what is desired from her people. Her sweet, gentle soul is full of love for her people and asks only that they be understanding about her sensitivity. She would love a family who has experience with anxious dogs and appreciates her nervous nature.





Her adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, leptospirosis, & bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.

Adoption fees exclude mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
