Meet Kida
Meet Kida!
A spirited two-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pitbull Terrier mix from Charlotte, NC, whose essence is a vibrant burst of joy wrapped in a sleek black coat adorned with charming white accents.
Kida is the embodiment of playful energy! This medium-sized, forty-one-pound dynamo is always ready for her next adventure, whether it's chasing after a ball with lightning speed or basking in the sun's warm embrace. She's a super chewer extraordinaire, finding immense joy in gnawing on antlers and marrow bones, which keep her happily occupied for hours!
Though she hasn’t had formal obedience training, Kida is a quick learner who thrives on positive reinforcement and delicious treats. She’s already mastered an impressive array of commands, including sit, stay, go, lay down, leave it, back up, paw, twirl, and even catching treats mid-air. Her agility and enthusiasm make her an excellent candidate for advanced tricks and fun activities!
Kida is a playful dog who sometimes plays a bit too energetically for some canine companions, causing issues with other dogs. She lives with two other dogs, Milo and Bishop, but has had a few squabbles and nipping incidents with Bishop. Kida prefers not to share her toys and can get growly when another dog tries to take them. Because of this Kida would thrive as the only dog in a home where she can be the center of attention, although she could potentially live with other dogs under careful supervision.
When it comes to alone time, Kida may whine a bit initially but settles down with her favorite chews or bones. She’s comfortable in a large crate or a room filled with toys and doesn’t tear up her bedding. While she does need to go out frequently, her house-training is solid, and she walks politely on a leash with a bit of patience.
Kida's early life was tough; she and her brother were found malnourished and battling Parvo. However, this resilient little girl overcame those challenges with a spirited determination that still shines brightly today! Her playful, high-energy nature is matched by her affectionate side, and she loves to snuggle once her energy is spent.
Kida’s ideal home is one where she can be both spoiled like a princess and taken on countless outdoor adventures. She needs a fenced yard to safely expend her energy and a loving, active family who appreciates her unique blend of caution, bravery, and curiosity.
Ready for a hiking buddy who can also be a snuggle champion?
